This privacy policy is written in the masculine form for convenience only and applies equally to all genders. It describes how the Pgishonim system collects, processes and stores personal information, in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, including Amendment 13 to the Law.
1. Who we are
The system is operated by Pgishonim - Technology Solutions in Education Ltd. (company no. 516971223). For any privacy matter you can contact us by e-mail at info@pgishonim.com.
2. The source of the information and our status
Pgishonim is an approved supplier of the Ministry of Education. A substantial part of the student data is received directly from the Ministry of Education systems (Matzeva), with the educational institution updating the data with the Ministry of Education. This information is processed within Pgishonim's status as an approved supplier of the Ministry of Education and subject to the Ministry of Education information security standard. With respect to information the institution collects directly through the system (for example registration forms), the institution determines the scope of the collection and its purposes, and Pgishonim processes and secures it as a holder.
3. What information is collected
As part of the service the following may be collected, among others: identifying details (name, and an identity number stored as a one-way hash); contact details (phone, e-mail); student data (class, attendance, educational events); payment data; and further information the institution itself defines in the registration forms it builds in the system. A substantial part of the information is received from the Ministry of Education systems (Matzeva), and part of it is supplied directly by the users (for example when filling in registration forms).
4. The registration module and sensitive information
The system lets the educational institution build registration forms and define the fields and the questions itself. Accordingly, the type of information collected in these forms is determined by the institution, and may also include sensitive information according to the institution's settings. In such cases responsibility for the lawfulness of the collection, for its purposes and for obtaining the required consents (including the consent of a parent/guardian) rests with the institution as the owner of the database. Pgishonim processes and secures this information as a holder, in accordance with the institution's instructions and with the law.
5. Purposes of use and the legal basis
The information is processed in order to provide and operate the service; operational communication with the users; compliance with legal obligations; and improvement of the service through statistical analysis. The legal basis for the processing is consent, compliance with a legal obligation, and the need to perform the service for the educational institution.
6. Minors and parental consent
Some of the data subjects are minors (students). Information about minors is processed under the authority of the educational institution and/or on the basis of the consent of a parent/guardian, under the institution's responsibility. We apply enhanced protection measures to information about minors.
7. Disclosure of information to third parties
We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers acting on our behalf — including infrastructure and cloud storage providers, payment clearing and payment providers, messaging and notification providers (SMS, e-mail, telephony systems and WhatsApp), statistical analysis services and computerised voice service providers — to the extent required to provide the service and subject to confidentiality and security undertakings; and also to law enforcement authorities and to the Ministry of Education, as required by law or by agreement.
8. Transfer of information outside Israel
Some of the service providers operate outside Israel, and information may therefore be transferred outside the borders of the State. Such a transfer is carried out in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Transfer of Information to Databases Abroad) and subject to appropriate safeguards.
9. Information security
We implement security measures in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Data Security). The system meets the Ministry of Education information security standards and is certified to the ISO 27001 information security standard. Among the measures: storing identity numbers as a one-way hash, encryption of information, restricting access to authorised users only, and periodic security testing.
10. Retention of information
Information is retained for the period required in order to provide the service and to comply with legal obligations, and is then deleted or made accessible in accordance with our policy.
11. Your rights
Under the law you have the right to review your personal information, to request its correction or deletion, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights you can contact info@pgishonim.com, and we will reply to your request promptly. Where the information is managed by the educational institution as the owner of the database, we will refer the request to the institution or handle it in coordination with it. In addition, you have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Protection Authority.
12. Security incident
In the event of a serious security incident we will act in accordance with the reporting obligations under the law, including reporting to the Privacy Protection Authority and to the data subjects concerned, as required.

14. Updates to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time in line with regulatory or operational changes. Changes take effect when they are published in the system, and it is advisable to review this policy from time to time.
